Violent mugger seen off at Bishopstoke

Bishopstoke mugger. N.B this is an Efit and not an actual photograph.

A violent would be mugger was forced to flee empty handed when his victim stood his ground and refused to comply with his demands.

The incident occurred in Bishopstoke at approximately 12.50pm on Tuesday, March 15 when a 25-year-old man was approached by another man on a footpath between Church Road and The Hub recreation ground.

The man first asked the time, then asked to use the victims phone, when this was refused the offender then shoved him and told him to empty his pockets when this too was refused the offender then ran away in the direction of Church Road.

Nothing was stolen and the victim was left uninjured.

The offender is described as white, 22-25 years of age5ft 9ins to 5ft 10ins tall with Medium build.

He had a stubbly, square face and prominent cheekbones and protruding ears and lips

His mousy, brown hair was short and either gelled or wet.
