A group of Bishopstoke youngsters have raised £402 for a local charity by taking part in Sunday’s 2k B&Q Fun Run.

The children’s Fun Run is held at Fleming Park in the afternoon following the annual Eastleigh 10k Road race and always attracts a large field of eager young athletes.

Taylan, Alasdair, Izzy, Drew, Yusif and Madeleine (pictured separately below) are all aged between 5-6 years old and are pupils of Stoke Park Infants School.

The children wanted to raise funds for the Red & White appeal after one of their class mates tragically lost their Mummy to Leukaemia last year.

Taylan’s proud mum Michelle said it was unusual to see such a strong bonds of friendship at such a young age and Eastleigh News is impressed with their community spirit.

Well done!
