Care home residents entertained by local music society

April 20, 2017
By

Braishfield Ukulele Musical Society

Braishfield Ukulele Musical Society (BUMS)! is an amateur group drawn from local residents living in the village. They share a mutual love of playing the ukulele and practise together for fun. They recently kindly put on a performance at Chandlers Ford Care Home for a donation to a local charity they support. Ten members of the group visited the Home and residents were absolutely enthralled with their hour long performance. Arun Achuthan the Home Manager commented

‘Residents were given song books so they could all sing along and  were thoroughly entertained,  many of them have not stopped talking about the memorable afternoon they had. We are now hopeful they will return later in the year’.

HC-One is also celebrating achieving a 9.4 average rating on the sector’s leading care home comparison website Carehome.co.uk. The high rating puts HC-One homes into the very best company in the care home sector, committed to providing kind care to Residents.

HC-One Regional Managing Director Liz Whyte commented

‘In all of our HC One Homes we are keen for residents to meet and interact with members of the local community so I’m very pleased to hear HC One Chandlers Ford residents have had this opportunity to enjoy themselves at this event and to take part in a good old fashioned sing a long”. I would like to thank everyone involved as this is indicative of how HC-One provides the kindest care’.
