Eastleigh put three players on transfer list

May 17, 2017

Ayo Obileye among the players listed

Eastleigh have today placed defenders Chinua Cole and Ayo Obileye along with midfielder Ross Stearn on the transfer list.

Left back Cole arrived at Eastleigh from Staines Town in January of this year and has been unable to gain a regular slot in the side with their being a number of left backs in the squad which, with a change in playing system over the final few games of the season to ensure we gained enough points for safety, Cole was restricted to six appearances since signing.

Centre back Ayo Obileye was a summer arrival last year from Charlton Athletic, though having spent some time on loan at Dagenham & Redbridge. Obileye failed to command a regular spot during the past season and was himself subject to a loan move to Dover Athletic. Obileye netted some important goals during the second half of the season but was still not a regular on the team sheet.

The third player listed is midfielder Ross Stearn who signed last November from fellow Vanarama National League side Sutton United. When Stearn originally arrived he was cup tied and his early appearances was disrupted because of our Cup run. Unfortunately though for Stearn his performances since our exit, have not met the Clubs expectations having never seemingly to have met the standards, that he had shown when playing against us many times.

All three players should have no trouble in finding alternative clubs whom have been circulated today to advise of their availability
