Dorset woman to take on Great North Run for Southampton charity

Nicole Impson

South Coast resident Nicole Impson is making final preparations for her participation in Sunday’s Great North Run for local disabled people’s charity Revitalise.

Nicole, 19, from Weymouth, is running in support of Revitalise, which runs the Netley Waterside House respite holiday centre in Southampton.

Commenting on why she chose Revitalise, Nicole, who is a Business Support Apprentice at Dorset Council, said:

‘I chose Revitalise because I think it’s an amazing charity! Carers work all hours and can’t always get the time off for a holiday. It’s wonderful for them and the disabled people they care for to visit new and exciting places and get the right care whilst having a good time.’

Revitalise Netley Waterside House provides much-needed respite holidays, combining 24-hour nurse-led care with a real holiday experience, for disabled people and carers from the South Coast region and beyond.

The Great North Run on Tyneside is the UK’s largest half marathon, with over 57,000 runners taking on the famous 13.1 mile course each year.
