Woolston Beer Festival goes down a treat

October 3, 2017
By

Woolston Beer Festival took place at Peartree Church Hall last weekend over the Friday and Saturday a superb range of Craft Ales and Beers.

On Friday Monkey See Monkey Do performed who is a band of four young musicians from Southampton’s urban jungle. On the evening they used e clarinet, percussion, guitar and violin to deliver a highly entertaining set which pulled in all sorts of influences from Irish traditional to bluegrass.

On Saturday there was a daytime quiz as well as a quiet session for the festival. Then in the evening a 22 year old solo acoustic cover artist called Just Millie took to the stage. Based in the South Coast using her acoustic guitar, kick drum and looping vocals, she has played some of the biggest festival names such as Bestival and Victorious, supported the likes of James Morrison and Scouting for Girls. She was fantastic on the night and really got the packed crowd in good spirits. Overall the food was great throughout the weekend and it was a perfect for a great couple of days.
