Eastleigh fight back to earn draw at home to Maidenhead

November 22, 2017

Ben Williamson netted Eastleigh’s equaliser

Richard Hill’s Spitfires fought back from 2-0 down with two goals in the final six minutes to draw with 10-man Maidenhead at The Silverlake Stadium.

Harold Odametey scored the visitors’ opener before half-time and Harry Pritchard converted from the penalty spot to make it 2-0 after Sam Barratt had been fouled.

New signing Bradley Hudson-Odoi, who put the pen to a piece of paper on a two-month loan from fellow National League side Sutton United recently, came on as a second half substitute replaces Mark Yeates.

Ayo Obileye replied with a penalty of his own for Rastleigh with little over 5 minutes left and, after James Mulley was sent off, Ben Williamson netted Eastleigh’s equaliser from 25 yards in the third minute of stoppage time.

Despite Eastleigh without a league win four games now, The Spitfires still remain just 9 points off a play off spot.
