Tom and his teacher Ms Shearman

Ms Shearman, a Science teacher at Fareham Academy Senior School is doing something fantastic for Cancer Research. During this year, a male pupil of hers, Tom aged 14, became very unwell and was eventually diagnosed with a brain tumour.  The teacher has been so incredibly impressed with the way in which he handled this situation and all the treatment that the disease demanded She, therefore, decided to do something which many females would not particularly like and this to shave her hair. The event is planned for the very near future – as soon as her target figure of £2,000 is attained – it currently stands at approximately £1500.   You can check out the JustGiving page here.

Tom is recovering well, back at school almost full time, and playing rugby again. His determination to remain positive and continue his studies whilst undergoing and recovering from therapy was and is truly inspirational.
