Eastleigh lose away to Sutton

December 2, 2017

Sutton climbed to the top of the National League as Richard Hill’s Spitfires lose 2-0 at Gander Green Lane.

Tom Bolarinwa gave Sutton the lead in the 13th minute after the Eastleigh defence could not deal with the attack and the forward slotted the ball under goalkeeper Graham Stack.

Kieron Cadogan had a good effort well-saved on the half-hour mark for the host and saw another effort denied a few minutes later with Kenny Davis also blocked on the follow-up.

Tommy Wright then wrapped up the win Sutton United in the 82nd minute when he latched on to a flick by former Spitfire Ross Lafayette and lobbed the keeper.

Eastleigh take on Bromley next Saturdy at The Silverlake Stadium.
