January 9, 2018
By

Wessex Cancer Trust, invite you to join them at their second annual flagship fundraising event – Walk for Hope, on Sunday 10th June 2018 in Burley, New Forest.

Thanks to advances in cancer prevention, early detection & treatment, more people than ever before are surviving the disease and Walk for Hope will be celebrating this achievement. 100 walkers took part last year and raised £25,000 to support families in the region affected by cancer. In 2018, they are hoping it will be even bigger.

You can choose to take on a ten or twenty-mile challenge which will take walkers through the beautiful woodland of the New Forest. 2017 10 Mile participant said,

‘Fab walk through the beautiful countryside. Time to reflect, be thankful and forever hopeful.’

On the day the route will be fully marshalled with toilets, first aid and supporters at various points along the way. There will also be refreshments and a well-deserved medal at the finish line.

To sign up to Walk for Hope and take advantage of their early bird offer of £20 per person (or £70 for a team of four) – valid until 28th February,

Everyone who signs up to Walk for Hope will receive:

  • Official Walk for Hope t-shirt to proudly wear on your walk
  • A full briefing pack containing advice on training
  • Fundraising pack and support to help you reach your goal

Event Manager, Rachel Coombs believes that

‘Walk for Hope will be a day that unites survivors, patients and supporters – women and men – to celebrate, support and inspire. It will be an amazing day’.
