Brambridge Break In

Dog & Crook

Suspects may have parked in aptly named 'Dog & Crook'

Following news that Burglars had struck in Chandlers Ford and West End Police are also now appealing for witnesses after a break in at a home in Brambridge.

The house near the junction of Church Lane and Highbridge Road was targeted by burglars between 7 and 8pm on Monday, February 1.

The offenders smashed a first floor window at the back of the house to get into the property but triggered an intruder alarm and fled.

Police believe the burglars ran away down Church Lane, and a blue car was seen leaving the car park of the Dog and Crook pub at speed at around the time of the offence.

PC Andrew Bates of the Winchester Priority Crime Team said: “I would like to hear from anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area on Monday evening.

“In particular I would like to speak to anyone who saw a small blue hatchback vehicle being driven out of the Dog and Crook car park.

“We believe the offenders may have parked this vehicle at the pub and then used it to get away from the scene, so if anyone saw it I would urge them to get in touch with us.”

Two years ago pensioner Georgina Edmonds was robbed and murdered in her Brambridge home. Detectives recently renewed an appeal for help to trace her killer.
