Detectives in Eastleigh have released this efit of the suspect they believe is responsible for sexually assaulting a 22 year old local woman in the town’s Fleming Park on the evening of Monday March 8.
He is described as: White, no more than 25 years old and approximately 5ft 8ins tall with thin to average build,
He had one inch long brown spiky hair and a small thin face with noticeable side jaw line, thick eyebrows, but otherwise very average features.
He was wearing a dark hoody with a logo on the chest and sweat pants or tracksuit bottoms and he spoke with a local accent.
Investigating officers are also renewing their appeal for anyone with information about the incident, which is alleged to have taken place sometime between 9.30 and 10-00pm in the area between Derby Road and Nightingale Avenue.
Since the assault, detectives have been following a number of lines of enquiry and are keen to speak to anyone who was in that area at the time of the alleged incident who may have seen or heard something. They are particularly keen to identify three youths who are thought to have been ‘hanging around’ in the area prior to the assault.
Local Safer Neighbourhoods officers will be in the area this evening, Monday, March 15, where they hope to speak to members of the public to provide reassurance and gather any information that might assist with the enquiry.
