Police investigating an explosion outside a house on Chadwick Road in Eastleigh at the weekend have charged an 18-year-old man from Truro Rise, Eastleigh with causing an explosion likely to endanger life.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before Southampton Magistrates Court tomorrow, Wednesday, April 14.
In all six people were arrested in connection with the incident.
A 56-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman have now been bailed pending further enquiries until June.
A 26-year-old man from Eastleigh has been bailed until August 2.
A 19-year-old from Eastleigh remains in custody being questioned by police and a 34-year-old man from Southampton has been released without charge.
The arrests followed an explosion which occurred at around 2.30am, Saturday, April 10. A home made explosive device was placed on the driveway of a house in the road. It caused extensive damage to three vehicles. Police are reiterating they are not treated this as a terrorist incident or domestic extremism incident.
