Gillespie scored the first

The Spitfires finally returned to winning ways yesterday.

Two first-half goals from Richard Gillespie and Ross Bottomley sealed a 2-1 win over Welling United which leaves Eastleigh just outside the league top 10.

Richard Gillespie scored after 13 minutes following a free kick and 20 minutes later another free kick fro Tony Taggart came off Ross Bottomley to make it two

Lee Clark equalised 10 minutes into the second half for Welling and the Wings also had a goal disallowed, but Eastleigh managed to hang on to the three points despite having Tony Taggart sent off in the last five minutes.
