E-fit of suspect released

An E-fit has just been released by police of a man they would like to interview regarding an assault which occurred at St. John’s Road recreation ground in Hedge End on July 6.

At around 8.45pm the victims and their friends were playing football when a blue Peugeot car passed by.

The occupants of the vehicle swore at the friends and the car then parked in the Centre 2000 car park.

Five men got out and walked towards the group and then they assaulted two of the boys.

One 15-year-old boy from Hedge End suffered a minor injury to his head and another 15-year-old boy from Hedge End suffered a fractured jaw.

The morons then drove away towards Hedge End village centre.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect 1 :

  • White man
  • Tanned complexion
  • 18 to 19-years-old
  • 6ft tall
  • Muscular build
  • Short dark brown hair
  • He was wearing a red sleeveless vest and dark tracksuit trousers.

Suspect 2 :

  • White man
  • 18 to 19-years old
  • 6ft tall
  • Big build
  • Dark brown hair
  • Red t-shirt

Suspect 3 :

  • White man
  • Pale complexion
  • Short ginger hair
  • 5ft 10 tall
  • Skinny build
  • Blue t-shirt

PC Phil Dennett said: “This was a particularly nasty unprovoked attack which left one of the victims with a broken jaw.

“We have followed a number of lines of enquiry and are hoping that by issuing this E-fit image the public can help us to identify those responsible for this assault.”
