Police Hunt Stoke Park Sniper

Police are appealing for information after an air rifle was used in Eastleigh on Saturday August 7.

A 22-year-old man was walking a friend’s dog in Stoke Park Woods at around 7.30pm when he was shot with a pellet.

The man saw three white boys running away from the scene.

One of the boys was carrying an air rifle, he is described as:

  • Skinny build
  • Approximately 5ft 7 to 5ft 8 tall
  • Short straight brown hair
  • He was wearing grey bottoms and a black t-shirt
PC Wendy Merritt said:
“I would like to hear from anyone who has information about this incident.

“It is possible that you may have overheard someone talking about their involvement.

“Luckily this man wasn’t seriously hurt but it could have been a lot worse.

“These boys need to be found so that they can be spoken to about the potential dangers of their actions.”
