Vans in The Crescent were targeted

More power tools worth hundreds of pounds have been taken in anther spate of overnight van – break ins in Eastleigh.

This time three vehicles  in  two days were hit in central Eastleigh . Thieves struck in Newtown  stealing equipment from vehicles parked in Archers Road and The Crescent a van in Goldsmith Road was also broken into.


There have been many incidents this year where expensive power tools made by companies like Dewalt and Festool have been stolen from parked vans with June being a particulary bad month.

Pc Kate Henning has previously issued this warning to drivers:

“I would like to remind vehicle owners that they should remove any valuables or tools overnight so their vehicles are less appealing to thieves and so that they can avoid the inconvenience of replacing stolen items.”
