There has been another hit and run incident in Chandlers Ford involving a blue car.
Last week a motor cyclist was thrown off his machine on Bournemouth Road by a driver who drove off in a blue car. Police are now also appealing for witnesses to a collision which occurred between 7.30am and 7.40am on Tuesday September 21 in nearby Chestnut Avenue.
A double decker bus had pulled over to pick up passengers at the bus stop near to the Cricketers public house when it was clipped by a car as it overtook the bus causing damage to the bodywork.
The driver failed to stop and drove away from the scene without exchanging details.
The suspect’s car is described as a small blue vehicle believed to be an old style Peugeot or Fiesta and is likely to have damage to the front nearside following the impact with the bus.
PC James Pieri said: “I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision which occurred at a busy time of day when there would have been a number of people travelling to work.
I would also like to hear from anyone who has noticed a similar vehicle with damage that has appeared since yesterday (Tuesday, September 21) which they deem to be suspicious.”
