The Vue cinema, Eastleigh, is bringing Thomas’ greatest adventure to date, Thomas and Friends: Misty Island Rescue,to the big screen on the 2 and 3October at 10.30am to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Thomas the Tank Engine.

Children and adults alike can enjoy another amazing adventure from the classic character, in full Computer Generated Imagery (CGI), making Thomas’s exciting escapade more life-like than ever before.

In this all-new Thomas and Friends must-see film, Thomas gets the honour of travelling to the mainland to collect special wood needed to help build the new Search and Rescue Centre. There is no room on the boat so Thomas has to be pulled along on a raft.

During the journey the chain breaks from the raft and Thomas wakes to find himself in a strange place called ‘Misty Island’. While looking for a way to get back home, Thomas meets three new friends known as the ‘Logging Locos’, who want to help Thomas, but will he be able to find his way back home to his friends?

Mark de Quervain, Vue Sales and Marketing Director says:

“We are delighted to bring this exclusive feature length screening to Eastleigh. Last year we showed Thomas and Friends: Hero of the Railsand we were over-whelmed by the interest. Offering great alternative content for families in addition to our normal great film line-up is proving highly popular so people should book now to avoid disappointment!”
