Portsmouth FC has contacted the Spitfires to arrange a friendly for tonight 29th of November.
The Spitfires director of football Dave Malone has confirmed the prospect of which leaves Eastleigh
FC supporters excited.
Ian Baird’s Spitfires got their game called off at St Albans City FC on Saturday which failed a 9:30 am pitch inspection. This leaves The Spitfires in 10th place in the Blue Square South league and only 5 points away from the play offs. Portsmouth FC do not have a league game until Saturday so it was an ideal fixture for Steve Cottrell’s Pompey to keep their supporters happy.
Although Portsmouth FC do not have to travel that far from the training ground, Portsmouth are scheduled to put a strong side with some first team players. They will be happy going in to this game on Monday night after their recent win at Swansea on Friday night in the Championship.
Normal ticket prices apply for this game – Kick off 7.45pm.
