The Spitfires meet Lewes tomorrow (Saturday) in the Blue Square Bet South at the Dripping Pan.
The Rooks sit in 20th place -worryingly in the relegation zone with only 12 points from the last 20 games.
In contrast Eastleigh is sitting comfortably in eighth and are in very good form.
Ian Baird’s Spitfires have won four in a row and have recently beaten two of their Hampshire rivals.
The last time the two sides met was at the Silverlake Stadium on the 11th of September when the match finished 2-1 to Eastleigh thanks to Chris Holland who scored the winning goal in the 84th minute.
Lewes has lost their last five league games whereas Eastleigh has won their last three.
After winning the Blue Square bet South league in the 2007/2008 season and gaining promotion, Lewes finished dead last the following season with 24 point and were relegated back again.
Last season The Rooks finished 19th with 42 points and a goal difference of -14.
Eastleigh is deservedly the favourite for this game despite Lewes having the home advantage.
The Spitfires will also be without left back Luke Byles for the rest of the month due to a ripped hamstring.
