Car window smashed for Ipod

Hedge End police have released an e-fit image of a youth they would like to speak to in connection with a theft from a motor vehicle in West End.

The incident occurred at around 12.15pm on Tuesday, February 1 in Ingersley Rise, West End.

A front window of a Vauxhall Corsa was smashed and an Apple iPod Touch was removed from the vehicle.

Police are keen to speak to a young man in connection with this incident.

The youth is described as about 16 years old, skinny, between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall with broad shoulders and dark brown hair and dark eyebrows.

He has a long face with slight stubble and acne and was wearing a grey track suit and black gloves

He was also riding a BMX style bike.

PC Charlie Ilderton, of Hedge End police station, said: “We would urge anybody who recognises this individual or who has any information about this incident to contact police. All information passed to us will be treated in confidence.

“We would also like to remind people never to leave valuables in their vehicles when they leave them unattended, even if it just for a matter of minutes.”
