Ian Baird’s Spitfires salvaged a point away to fourth place Ebbsfleet United on Tuesday in the Blue Square Bet South.
Eastleigh opened the scoring on 11 minutes through top goal scorer Jamie Slabber but on 14 minutes Calum Willock cancelled out Slabber’s goal with a goal for the home side.
Former Spitfire Ashley Carew scored a penalty just before the half-time whistle which saw Eastleigh behind at the break.
Anthony Riviere equalised for Eastleigh on 47 minutes giving them their first point in two weeks.
The Spitfires travel to Basingstoke Town next, Saturday February12 when they try and revenge their 0-1 loss at home four months ago.
Eastleigh sit in seventh place now, four points away from that all important play-off spot however The Spitfires have four games in hand on fifth place and two games in hand on the league leaders Braintree – sixteen points above Eastleigh.
