A man has died one month after sustaining serious head injuries in a road accident near Basingstoke hospital after being in collision with a car driven by a Chandlers Ford man.
The accident took place outside the Basingstoke ambulance station on the A340 shortly before 9pm on Saturday April 9.
A Cadillac car, driving in the direction of Basingstoke, was in collision with the 51-year-old Basingstoke man.
The pedestrian sustained serious head injuries and was later transferred from Basingstoke hospital to Southampton General Hospital.
Hampshire Constabulary is expected to identify the deceased man later today.
The driver, a 59-year-old man, was arrested at the time on suspicion of driving without due care and attention but was released on bail until Tuesday May 17, pending further enquiries.
