Police seek witnesses to footpath flasher

Footpath runs from Kingfisher/Kestral Road to Falkand Road

A MAN has indecently exposed himself to a 16-year-old girl as she walked along a footpath in a Eastleigh.

The victim was walking between Kingfisher Road and Falkland Road in Eastleigh when the man ran past her and committed the offence.

He did not speak to the girl and she was otherwise unharmed by the incident last Monday May 9 at 4pm.

Police are appealing for witnesses and want to speak to a man and woman who were seen riding through the alleyway on bicycles at the time urgently.

PC Mark Connor, of Eastleigh police station, said: “It is believed they may have information which could help police with their enquiries.

“The male cyclist was wearing a white T-shirt and is described as being tanned. If this is you then please get in touch.”

A 35-year-old man from Eastleigh has been arrested on suspicion of causing public nuisance through indecent exposure and has been released on bail until June 13.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The footpath runs through woods alongside Fleming Park and is used by students form Alderman Quilley and Barton Peveril.

In 2005 a 15-year-old female Quilley student was sexually assaulted by a man along the same footpath.

A young woman was assaulted in Fleming Park last year
