Police would like to speak to a good Samaritan who came to the aid of young mugging victim – a 16 year-old boy – who had his nose broken and mobile phone stolen in Central Eastleigh on Saturday evening.
The incident occurred on Meadow Lane at around 6.45pm.
The teenager was approached by another boy, who was with a group of around eight youths.
The youth demanded the 16-year-old hand over his mobile phone. The victim ran away but was chased by the youth, who then grabbed hold of him and assaulted him.
Police are keen to speak to a man who helped the teenager after the incident had taken place. The man was driving a blue car. It is believed he may have significant information which could help officers with their investigation.

“Investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident taking place or who may have any information which could help police with their investigation.”
