Puyehue-Cordon Caulle blows it's top

Eastleigh director Mike Andrews confirmed today on the fans forum that the eagerly anticipated Falkland Island game that was due to be played at the BTC Ground on Wednesday June 22 has been postponed to a possible later date.

The volcano Puyehue-Cordon Caulle in Chile erupted on June 4 and has disrupted hundreds of flights in the Southern Hemisphere.

Writing on the forum Mike Andrews said:

“I have just been informed that the above game has been postponed, the reason being the dreaded ash cloud. The team are trapped at home pending a clear air space.

The game may be played on Thursday or Friday if the team can get here.

Many apologies if this disrupts anyone’s plans.”
