Paul Williams is new Assistant Manager

Paul Williams has been appointed the new Assistant manager role for The Spitfires,he will work alongside Ian Baird as well as being the first team coach.

Eastleigh director of football Dave Malone wrote on the fans forum.

“We are delighted to confirm that we have today appointed Paul Williams as our 1st team Coach/Assistant Manager

Paul is a highly exoperienced and respected ex player, and will be a valued addition to the Management team.”

Paul made 160 appearances for Derby County from 1989 to 1995 and 169 appearances for Coventry City as a centre back.

He also made 39 appearances for Southampton having been on the sub bench in the FA CUP final in 2003 .Paul managed Fredericksburg Gunners in the 2006/2007 season in the USL Premier Development League.

He was also most recently the assistant caretaker at Aldershot Town in League Two.
