Three Eastleigh College Travel and Tourism students were thrilled after landing themselves permanent jobs with leading global provider of aviation ground services, Servis Air. The students will be based at Southampton Airport undertaking the role of Passenger Service Agents, which includes dealing with the passenger check-in process.
After successfully completing the rigorous interview process, the students gained employment on finishing a two week training programme with Servis Air.
The lucky three are Jade Wyse, Jemma Lambert and Laura Troke, and all have successfully completed the BTEC Diploma in Travel and Tourism course at Eastleigh College. They originally took part-time roles with Servis Air to fit while finishing their studies and have now started full-time roles at the airport.
A delighted Jade Wyse said:
“We all feel so lucky and privileged to have the opportunity to work with Servis Air and Southampton Airport. We would really like to thank the staff at Eastleigh College for helping us get here.”
Eastleigh College’s Travel team have built strong relationships with many travel industry providers, including Southampton Airport and Servis Air. The team were involved in the interview process along with Servis Air, and many students are successful in gaining employment from the work experience placements that are provided as part of the course. Pat Tryhorn, course manager, said:
