Spitfire young guns aim for Shots

The Spitfires play Aldershot Town tonight at 7:45 PM The Ebb Stadium in the Hampshire Senior Cup 2nd Round.

Eastleigh is due to put out a young team tonight as are Aldershot however The Shots have announced they will also play some first team players tonight.

Former Eastleigh assistant manager Matt Gray is now a coach at Aldershot and Eastleigh still have two on loan players from Aldershot, Henrik Breimyr and Graeme Montgomery, however they are not due to play as most first team players will be rested for Saturday’s FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round tie against Oxford City.

Seventeen year old striker Sam Wilson is due to start tonight after Eastleigh director of football Dave Malone announced yesterday.

“We have today had a long conversation with Fulham FC in respect of Sam Wilson.

FFC were very, very impressed with Sam – and they will continue to monitor his progress in the coming months. We have agreed with FFC that we will not covet interest in the player from other Clubs for a period of time – and review that situation in the New Year.”
