Eastleigh FC supporters maybe in line for cheap car and home insurancefollowing an announcement from the club this morning that an Oxfordshire based insurance company is about to purchase a majority holding in the club.
Bridle Insurance already sponsor Oxford United to the tune of £100k and as part of the deal offer players staff and fans discounts on their insurance products. Revenue from their purchases effectively gets recycled back into the club so fans can support their team every time they take out or renew a policy with the insurers.
The club have said in a statement that Bridle “ have set before the Board an exciting and progressive set of proposals.”
Full details yet to be announced but the news ends speculation as to the identity of investor interest which had linked former England and Saints legend Glen Hoddle with the club.
The 51% purchase coincides with the recent relocation of Bridle’s southern operations to Eastleigh with the acquisition of premises on Chandlers Ford Business Park.
A few weeks ago it was revealed that the clubs current ground has been identified by council planners as a site with future retail or business development potential – see here
