Boat Stolen from Chandlers Ford Industrial Estate

Stolen Boat
Last night between 7.45 – 8.15pm thieves broke into a compound on Brickfield Lane, Chandlers Ford. They are thought to have used a high top white van, which was driven into the compound after the thieves broke through the security gates. The thieves then stole a high performance race boat belonging to “VoomVoom”, hitching up the trailer to the van.
The boat is described as an Aquarius 4 meter rib which has dark blue tubes and a white hull. It has a single Suzuki A50 horse power engine on the back. The engine casing is black in colour with the wording Suzuki written on it. The A frame has a red and amber strobe light which is quite noticeable. The boat which is the only one like it in the country had recently been advertised for sale (there is a similar one but is grey in colour).
Police today are conducting enquiries in the area and reviewing CCTV which captured the incident. Boat owners have been alerted through Hamble River Project Kraken, a river watch scheme similar to neighbourhood / shop watch.
