Flasher exposes himself to West End traffic

Efit Flasher West End road 150312

A motorist stuck in a traffic jam on West End Road  was shocked to see a man in a van exposing himself while ‘carrying out an indecent act’ in full view of passers-by while he was parked in a Church car park.

The 29 year-old female driver noticed the was man staring at her while he was sat up high in the cab of a red transit type  van parked in the front of St James Church  – close to the pavement and passing traffic and with his window wound down.

The offence was committed at about 5.30 pm in broad daylight on March 15.

The witness has assisted police in producing the e-fit above and has described the offender as in his late 30s to early 40s with a ruddy complexion and chubby cheeks. His dark receding hair was shaved short and he had thick black eyebrows and beard stubble.

PC Christopher Lewis, based at Hedge End Police Station said:

“I would like to appeal to members of the public who were travelling on this road at the time stated if they saw this male and his vehicle parked up to contact me. As this incident occurred in day light hours, next to a busy road there must be others who saw him.”

PC Lewis can be contacted by phoning 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Hedge End Police have revealed in a tweet earlier today that a man who was flashing in Hedge End earlier this year has just been imprisoned for 18 months.
