Police appeal for witnesses to road rage incident

A 63 year old man is alleged to have been assaulted on Wednesday 18 April, around 9.45 am at the M3 slip road as he stopped at the traffic light junction with Leigh Road.

The victim who lives in the New Forest was driving a Citroen Xantia and had joined the M3 from the M27, leaving at Junction 13. Police believe there was an incident between the Citroen and a lorry before both vehicles left the motorway.

The victim was approached by another driver whilst he waited at the traffic lights and it is alleged he was punched in the face which resulted in a chipped tooth.
