Saturday 22nd September will go down in Trojans history – today saw Trojans ladies 4th team play their first ever league game

After an incredible response to all the Olympic legacy events run over the summer by the Trojans coaching team including Back To Hockey Trojans have been able to added a 4thteam to the ladies section.

The ladies 4’s travelled to Petersfield where they fought hard in a thrilling 3-2 win for Eastleigh based Trojans 4’s.

Trojans are once again proving why they are one of the best Hockey clubs in Southampton by always increasing the opportunity for participation at this friendly and growing club.

Elsewhere the ladies 1st XI continued their Investec western conference campaign and picked up the first point of the season with a home draw against Bristol based side Firebrands.

The side from Bristol took the lead in the 5th minute only for Beck Westall to equalise 2 minutes later from a smart short corner routine.

Trojans took the lead after a Charlotte Cox strike however Firebrands equalised in the 59th minute.

Trojans host Swansea next weekend.

Elsewhere Trojans ladies 2nd XI drew 0-0 with Southampton 1’s and the ladies 3’s lost 2-0 to Wimbourne.

The men’s 1st XI travelled to Croydon where goals from James Sordillo, Ed Jeffery and Chris Gittens sealed a 3-1 win in their last game of the preseason campaign – read the match report here.

The result see’s Trojans 1st XI finish preseason unbeaten after scoring 20 and only conceding 3.

Elsewhere Trojans 2nd XI beat Yateley 2-0 after two goals from a new Trojans signing – Tim Slade. The Men’s 6th team drew 2-2 with Salisbury.

All Trojans men’s teams start the league campaign next weekend.
