Ladies 1’s beat Swansea in EHL West Clash.

Trojans Ladies 1’s picked up their first win of this year’s Investec Western Conference campaign.

Having lost to ISCA on the opening day of the season and draw with Bristol Firebrands a week later it was important for Trojans to go all out for 3 points on Saturday.

Trojans took the lead when Captain Nyssa Cole scored in the 18th minute and it remained 1-0 for a 25 minutes.Trojans Ladies

Swansea struck back mid way through the second half scoring 2 goals in the space of 5 minutes.

Nyssa Cole came to the rescue in the 58th minute picking up her second goal of the game.

Trojans continued the fight back with goals from Becky Wetall and Izzy Wood to secure a 4-2 win for the side from Southampton.

The win see’s Trojans sitting in 5th place 3 games into the season.

Elsewhere goals from James Sordillo (2), Chris Gittens (2), Ben Cole (2) Matt Watts (1) and man of the match Arun Garewal (1) saw Trojans men’s 1st XI beat Trinity Mid-Whitgiftians 8-2 on the opening day of their season.  Read the match report here

This see’s Trojans men’s 1st XI start their season in similar fashion to the way they finished their preseason programme.

Trojans face Hamble in an all Southampton clash next weekend 1.30 at Stoneham Lane.

The men’s 2’s drew 4-4 and ladies 2’s went down 2-1 to Wimbledon.

The ladies 3’s beat Aldershot and Farnham 4-1 and the men’s 6th team won comfortably scoring 9 goals in the process.
