Witney Town Friendly Postponed

Romsey Town FC Vs Eastleigh

Eastleigh take on Romsey Town away tomorrow night

Richard Hill’s Spitfires were due to play Witney Town away tonight in a friendly however the game got postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Eastleigh manager Hill and his assistant Guy Butters have been working on arranging a friendly for Wednesday to prepare the team for Saturday’s Blue Square Bet South match at home to Welling United.

The Spitfires have not had a game in ten days so it seems logical for a friendly to be arranged midweek and the official Eastleigh website today announced another friendly that is due to take place away to Romsey Town tomorrow night.

“Eastleigh FC management team Richard Hill and Guy Butters have been working tirelessly over the last 24 hours to arrange a friendly fixture replacing the Witney match postponed yesterday due to the poor weather.

We are delighted to announce local side Romsey Town have agreed to host the game on Wednesday 28thNovember 2012 (tomorrow) with an earlier 7.30pm kickoff.  Entry is £5 or £2 for concessions.

Hopefully we will see as many of you at the game as possible.”

In other news on loan goalkeeper Ross Flitney has been recalled by Gillingham and Chris Flood will stay at Maidenhead United until 12th January.
Tomorrow’s game will be a great match to watch so come on down to The Bypass Ground at Romsey and support The Spitfires!
