Students raise funds on Valentines Day

British Heart Foundation Valentine chocolate sale_Barton PeverilStudents at Barton Peveril College in Eastleigh chose Valentines Day to indulge their passion for chocolate, with a sale of heart-shaped confectionery in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

The second year students are working towards their Certificate in Community Volunteering, which enables young people to develop an understanding of the nature of charities, develop their teamwork and project management skills and explore career opportunities within the voluntary sector.

The students planned and marketed the event, which was reported to be a great success with fellow students and staff.
