Police Hunt Fair-Weather Flasher

Blue Police Lamp
Southampton Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a man exposed himself to a woman walker.

Between 5.15 and 7pm Saturday, April 20, a 39-year-old Southampton woman was walking on a footpath leading to Victoria Country Park when she saw a man urinating in public.

The man left on a mountain bike, but was seen again by the woman on the footpath along Southampton Water by the side of the BP terminal at Hamble. This time, he was exposing himself.

The man is described as white and short.  He wore shorts, a dark blue tee-shirt and a baseball cap with an orange design.  The mountain bike is a dark colour.

Police want to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw the cyclist.

PC Kenneth Hobbs said the good weather brought many people out to the park and River Hamble that day, and added.

“If you were in the locality of the foreshore between Royal Victoria Country Park and the BP terminal in Hamble late Saturday afternoon until 7pm, we need to hear from you, especially if you saw this cyclist” .

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Hobbs at the Public Protection Department at Southampton Central police station on 101.
