Eastleigh’s ‘Directioners’ can Vue the ‘fan cut’

vueJust days after loyal ‘Directioners’ took to Twitter to vent their anger at the news that One Direction: This Is Us ‘ fan cut’ would only be released in US and Canada, Vue cinemas has announced it will also be showing the extended version in 2D and 3D across its 82 cinemas, throughout the UK, from Friday 20 September.

Currently showing today and tomorrow (16th/17th September), in 2D and 3D at the Vue in Eastleigh, is the standard version of One Direction: This Is Us, but in a dramatic turn of events, ‘Directioners’ in the UK will now be treated to an extra 20 minutes of footage, along with four new songs.

In their new film, fans can follow the boys and relive their experiences as they find out what really goes on, both backstage and onstage, in their latest Take Me Home tour. Hear it from the boys themselves and see it through their eyes what it’s really like – their world, in an intimate, all-access look at life on the road for the global music phenomenon.

A spokesperson from Vue Entertainment said:

“We are delighted to be able to answer to ‘Directioners’ up and down the UK and we hope, by releasing This Is Us ‘fan cut’, we’ll give them exactly what they want and ensure they don’t miss out on anything.

“We expect this to be very popular with ‘Directioners’ across the country, who will be able to enjoy extra footage, through state-of-the-art audio-visual technology and from the comfort of Vue’s stadium-style seating for a true gig-like atmosphere.”

The One Direction: This Is Us ‘ fan cut’ is released on Friday 20 September, though dates and times for the screening at Eastleigh are not yet listed online.  As usual, tickets will be available via www.myvue.com.
