Top of the league Eastleigh take on Eastbourne Borough tonight at The Silverlake Stadium (7.45pm kick off) in a bid to claim four victories in a row.

The Spitfires last played Maidenhead United away at York Road at the weekend in front of a crowd of 403.

Former Spitfire Richard Pacquette opened the scoring for the home side against the run of the play when the striker got on the end of a cross with a header that beat goalkeeper Ross Flitney.

Yemi Odubade soon made sure Eastleigh wasn’t behind for long when Craig McAllister headed a corner into the path of the striker who done well to flick back for the equaliser.

It took until the second half before either side took the advantage again and it was The Spitfires who took the lead.

A poor clearence from a Maidenhead defender found its way to Odubade and the former Gatehead striker claimed his brace with a well taken goal.

With ten minutes to go Eastleigh made sure of all three points as second half substitute Craig McAllister was found by Jai Reason and the former Crawley town striker slotted the ball back post.

Tonight’s visitors, Tommy Widdrington’s Eastbourne Borough sit in eighth place having won three, drew 2 and lost only game this season.

The Sport last played Concord Rangers at home where they drew 0-0 in a match to forget for Eastbourne.

In other news Eastleigh have been drawn at home to Magotsfield United in the FA Cup Second Round Qualifying Round which is due to be played at The Silverlake Stadium on Saturday 28th September.

Tonight’s game is going to great game so come down to The Silverlake Stadiuma and roar on those Spitfires!
