New Signing: Damian Batt

New Signing: Damian Batt

Richard Hill’s Spitfires will go into today’s game away to Maidenhead top of the league as they put in a solid performance at home to Bromley last weekend.

It took just midway through the first half before either team got on the score sheet and it was The Spitfires that took the early advantage.

Michael Green sent in dangerous free kick which found the head of Craig McAllister which managed to creep in with the help of a Bromley defender.

Ten minutes later and Hill’s men doubled their advantage; Stuart Fleetwood went on a superb solo run down the left wing and managed to find his way in to the box where he unleashed power tight angled shot.

Bradley Goldberg did get on back for the visitors early in the second half however the solid Eastleigh defence made sure of all three points.

Today’s opponents are unbeaten in the league this season having earned three wins and two draws.

Johnson Hippolyte’s men recently won away to Gosport Borough with Reece Tison-Lascaris and former Spitfire Richard Pacquette scoring The Magpies only goals.

In other news Eastleigh have signed right back Damian Batt who recently played for Oxford United.

Batt who had a trial with MLS outfit Vancouver Whitecaps back in July, signed for Eastleigh having retired from the professional just four days earlier.

Today’s game is going to be a great game so come on down to York Road (3pm) and roar on those Spitfires!

COME ON YOU SPITFIRES!!!
