Richard Hill’s Spitfires take on Ryman Premier League side Bury Town today in the FA Trophy first round away at Ram Meadow.

Last weekend was a disappointing result for The Spitfires as they failed to get any points at home to relegation threatened Tonbridge Angels.

Despite the visitors having a man sent off within the first minute and Eastleigh having a disallowed goal, The Angels took the advantage.

Shamir Goodwin on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion put the visitors in front however The Spitfires equalised after the break.

Fifteen minutes in to the second half and Jamie Collins finished of a good move for Hill’s men after several chances went missing.

Tonbridge though had the last say on the game as defender Sonny Miles made sure of all three points for the visitors which sent Eastleigh down to second place.

Today’s game sees mid table side Bury Town who currently sit in tenth place in the league and have only won two games at home in the league all season.

The Blues beat Grays Athletic 5-1 at home to reach this round and last played Bognor Regis Town away where they lost 2-5.

Today’s game is going to be a great game so come on down to Ram Meadow and roar on those Spitfires to the next round!

COME ON YOU SPITFIRES!!!
