Richard Hill’s Spitfires  will look to extend their two point gap at the top tomorrow as they take on Whitehawk at the Silverlake Stadium (3pm kick off).

Eastleigh’s midweek game away to Bishop’s Stortford ended all square to cap off two consecutive away draws in just two days.

The hosts went 2-0 up after just 23 minutes as Reece Prestedge  and on-loan Norwich City striker Rod Young both gave Bishop’s Stortford the advantage.

Hill’s men did manage to get one back before the break as Ben Wright sent a free kick flying in to the back of the net.

In the second half, Ben Strevens made sure Eastleigh would travel back with a point as the midfielder headed home a corner after the half-hour mark.

The Spitfires are now two points ahead rivals Sutton with two games in hand however third place Bromley sit just three points behind Eastleigh having played just one more games than them.

Eastleigh now play Whitehawk at home just one month after beating them 4-1 away.

The Hawks last played Hayes & Yeading at home on Tuesday night where they won 1-0 with defender Sami El-Abd scoring their only goal.

COME ON YOU SPITFIRES!!!
