Eastleigh’s policy making Cabinet has seen significant changes following the recent local elections.

Three new Councillors have joined the Cabinet that’s made up of eight Councillors now with four women and four men.

Cllr Keith House was voted in as Council Leader for another four year term at the Annual Meeting of the Council, appointing Cllr Anne Winstanley again as Deputy Leader.

Cllr Suzy Hamel, who represents Hamble-le-Rice & Butlocks Heath, is the new portfolio lead for Business, Skills & Education taking over from Cllr Peter Wall. Cllr Tonia Craig, from Bursledon & Old Netley, becomes Cabinet Lead on Health & Community Safety replacing Cathie Fraser. Cllr Steve Sollitt, who was re-elected in Eastleigh South, takes the reins of a new Cabinet portfolio combining Youth and Social Policy.

Suzy, Tonia and Steve add youth and enthusiasm to their Cabinet roles as the Council takes forward its pledges to cut Council Tax in real terms every year, protect services and deliver new community facilities.”

        Matthew – no offense but that is a childish slur and it is not constructive ,

        The three stooges seemed like idiots but Curly Larry and Moe were in fact a highly refined vaudeville act .

        it is the Eastleigh voters that need the intelligence injection and that is the task of those most aware.

        Could you provide us with the income / allowances of all the Councillors and post it in these comments ? that would perhaps embarrass them and harm the libdem hegemony.

          Rigel, as luck would have it the members allowances paid for last year were published on the council website in the papers for this month’s cabinet.

      If that’s the same seat that Cllr Steve Sollitt gave up in 2011 then no.
