Former Aldershot captain Craig Stanley has become Richard Hill’s fourth summer signing for Eastleigh.
The 31 year-old midfielder put the pen to the paper after being released by the Hampshire club at the end of last season.
Stanley started his career at Wallsall in 2002 where he had a loan spell at Scottish side Raith Rovers before signing for AFC Telford two years later.
The 6ft player then moved to Hereford United where he achieved promotion to the football league as well as captaining England C to a 4–1 victory over Holland in 2006, winning the European Challenge Trophy.
A move to Morecambe was Stanley’s reward where he made over 150 league appearances for the club as well as a loan spell at Torquay United in 2011.
The Yorkshireman then signed for Bristol Rovers the following season before playing for Aldershot where he made name for himself as skipper.
