Police hunt Hedge End flasher

A man exposed himself to a woman with a child in Hedge End on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Shamblehurst Lane at around 9am on Tuesday, November 4.

A 41-year-old woman was walking towards Tesco Express with her one-year-old child in a buggy when she noticed a man walking towards her indecently exposing himself.

The man didn’t say anything to the woman as they passed each other and didn’t make any attempt to stop her or to touch her.

He continued to walk in the direction of the Shamblehurst Barn public house and the train station.

The suspect is described as:

–          A white man

–          In his late 20s to early 30s

–          6ft tall

–          Medium build

–          Short blond hair

–          He was wearing a green short sleeved polo shirt and blue jeans.

PC Mark Connor from Eastleigh police station said:

“This is an unusual incident which has occurred in a safe neighbourhood during broad daylight.

“The woman and her child were not harmed but this incident left her shocked and distressed.

“Following the incident the woman spoke to other women who were walking in the area. They may have information which could help us identify this man and I would ask them to contact me.”
