Police appeal after fatal crash in Newtown

Police are appealing for other drivers to come forward following a fatal collision between a blue Ford Focus and a black Citroen Xsara Picasso on Newtown Road in Eastleigh at around 10.20am on Tuesday, December 16.

The Ford Focus was travelling towards Romsey Road when it was involved in a low speed collision with the Citroen which had pulled into a parking space. Sadly the driver of the Ford, 73 year-old man from Chandlers Ford, died at Southampton General Hospital following the collision.

The circumstances of the collision are being investigated, and no-one else was injured.
