Fresh from their Voice FM Christmas Charity Event, the lads are looking forward to returning to the place where they grew up and drummer Dan Barnes in particular is excited to play at the venue having supported Eastleigh FC over the years.
‘We’re extremely looking forward to playing at Eastleigh FC.
We’ve followed the club for years and have wanted to do this for a long time!
It’s important to keep local ties and when the supporters club contacted us asking if we would like to be involved we were more than happy!’
‘Being held at the Silverlake Stadium, which is a great venue, is a great coup, especially considering how well the club is progressing on and off the pitch.’
The guys always try and do their bit for charity and this is no exception as Paul Champion, the bands bassist and also supporter of Eastleigh FC, explains.
‘Considering it is in association with wave 105’s cash for kids charity as well gives it added importance!
‘We try to keep close links with charities and enjoy working with them, so enjoy the opportunity to try and help.
‘Get involved, come listen to some live music with friends and help contribute to a worthy cause.’
As well as the evening being a great night for charity, Dan believes the gig will give the local people a taste of what Eastleigh has to offer for live music, he said:
‘We’re playing with up and coming band New Age who are also based locally, so its definitely an opportunity to show people from the area what Eastleigh has to offer on the music scene!’
The lads will be joined by another local band from Eastleigh, New Age, who are excited to play alongside one of areas’s most high profile bands.
Bass player Gordon Golding is looking forward to the night and said:
‘We expect to see a lot of our frequent followers, as well as many, many more for Three Times Over.
‘We’re looking forward to playing, it’ll be a fun night and hopefully will lead to more gigs beside them.
‘We hope it’ll be a lively atmosphere, everyone has a great time and that there’s massive turn out.
‘Three Times Over always attract a decent crowd, so it should be a great night for both bands and fans!’
Talking about the charity, Gordon continued and said:
‘Cash For Kids is a great charity! Wave 105 do such a great job and make such a difference to Kids lives, especially around Christmas and we’re glad they’re with us and Three Times Over for the event.’
Looking ahead to the future New Age will be looking to branch out a bit more and the bass player continued:
‘We’re hoping to expand more; reach out to more areas, get more material written and recorded!
‘We already have a nice size following around the local area, but the further we branch out, the more supporters we can gain!’
