The ever popular Solent Gardeners and Craft fayre returns Southampton University’s sports ground at Wide Lane this Sunday (May 31) for the 17th year.
The annual event, which organised by the Rotary Club of Southampton, has become a must for all keen gardeners and craft enthusiasts with over 70 exhibitors.
It’s not just for the green fingered either but also makes for a great family day out with children’s entertainment (including free face painting), refreshments and music from the Michelmersh Silver Band and the Southampton Ukulele Jam.
Local gardener John Edwards said:
“It’s the one show that I always look forward to because its the local growers and crafts people who make it such so enjoyable
“You’re guaranteed to find a good selection of plants to choose from, some that you may not see in the usual stores and shops.”
All proceeds go to charities supported by Southampton Rotary Club.
